My girlfriend and I took a spur of the moment trip here in late March. We had a wonderful time. Great staff and awesome views! We rented a day shack for a little ice fishing and caught a nice Lake Trout. We will definitely be back sometime - awesome place!
Beautiful Place, cabins are clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is also clean and the water is very clear. We have been going to different cabins for years, this is definitely the best one we tried.
My coworkers and i stayed here while working on a job in the area. Accomodations were stellar, staff amazing, food was delicious. Nadia and Joanne were great. The sauna and hot tub were a relaxing experience at the end of the day. Highly highly recommend this lodge to anyone ! We will be back for sure.
The staff are awesome..they go above and beyond to make things right in your stay, even for things that are out of their control. The chef did an awesome job for the dinner...and had an awesome brunch the next morning. We went on a sled trip, and hope to make a trip in the summer. Make a day trip to this part of NW Ontario...stop for dinner and drinks or a night day. Its a gorgeous part of the country. Oh..the ceasars are amazing!!.Call out to Dave B, Dave H, chef Brian and Terra!!
Dustin and Jenny were wonder hosts. They went over and beyond. Love the food. Gordon Ramsey would love the high quality meals! Staff absolutely wonderful. Dave served us at the restaurant and followed with us thru the entire experience. Would most definitely come again for the view and food. Looking for to an ice fishing experience with this chain of resorts. Do much fun!
Fantastic mid Feb ice fishing trip. Had blast, great people, great food and, for us, a real wilderness adventure. Roads plowed. Shacks are new, clean and warm. Everyone wanted us to have fun but big thanks to Albert Joanna, Nadia and Dustin for taking care of us. Everyone was happy and helpful. Very different than Southside of the lake. Remote and quiet. Fish are fat and beautiful. Wife even got 2 eelpout. We'll be back. If you're thinking about going, do it. We had such a great time
There was 14 of us staying over 3 days, and we all had the best time. Stephanie, Dustin and Tarah were all super helpful in answering any questions and showing us around the lodge/lake. The restaurant with all the amenities was amazing and extremely fun with delicious food/drinks, The lake is beautiful and Dustin is very knowledgeable on the area, able to point out spots for us to try out for ice fishing. We definitely will be coming back !
My family has stayed at Yellow Bird and Totem Lodge for over 27 years, Sometimes twice in the summer and once in a winter ice fishing. We have found the food to be outstanding the staff extremely accommodating and willing to go out of their way for any of our needs. The guides have always managed to put us right on the fish, and we have found the rooms to be clean. It must be remembered that these lodges are way up in northern Canada, and as hard as they try, it is possible to get a mouse from time to time, Get over it! Look at the bigger picture look at the beautiful lake, Enjoy the scenery, breathe the fresh air, and with the addition of the New sauna and whirlpool relax!
